The Reliance R&D team will go to work creating the final specifications and other supporting documents for the product. At this time, the Reliance regulatory team will kick off any requested product certifications. Final signature on the finished product specifications will be required to proceed.

The Reliance team will procure and test raw materials, and schedule production. During this time, our Graphics team will assist with creating labels, ensuring they are compliant with regulatory guidelines. Once the product is manufactured, finished product testing will take place to guarantee its quality.

Most custom products run 10 to 12 weeks from signed product specs to completion. Before production starts, expect roughly 2 to 3 weeks for quoting and another 2 weeks to finalize specs and supporting documents. Lead times can shift based on ingredient availability, formulation complexity, packaging, and testing protocols, but our turnkey, in-house approach helps protect that timeline by eliminating the multi-vendor handoffs that slow most projects down. Brands that need to move faster can customize the label on one of our on-trend stock formulations, which is the quickest path to shelf.
What testing do you perform on raw materials and finished products?
Quality is built into every stage of our process. Every raw material is tested for identity, potency, and safety on arrival using methods like FT-IR spectroscopy and microbiological testing, and only approved materials are released into inventory. Before full-scale production, we run an R&D batch in our lab to confirm formulation viability, followed by a pilot batch on production equipment. Full production runs include content uniformity, mix uniformity, and disintegration testing. After production, we repeat key tests, including microbiological and heavy metals, and generate a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) for your review.
